All our rooms are thoughtfully and comfortably furnished so that you can be assured of a restful and relaxing time during your stay. The rates below are based, except where stated, on a per person per night basis, including full English breakfast, made, as far as possible, from locally sourced ingrediants.

What about Bank Holidays?
Because so many people want to stay with us over Bank Holiday periods especially at Easter and in August we have had to ask for a minimum stay of 3 nights although it may be possible to arrange for a shorter stay depending on availability-just ring us to find out and we will see what we can do

What extras would you like?
Would you like an arrangement  of flowers in your room on arrival? We can easily do that for just £30.00. Simply let us know when you book.
What about a packed lunch fo rwhen you're out and about? We can provide simple and sustaining packed lunches, catering for most dietry requirements for only £6.00 each- so that all you have to do  is step out of the door and begin to enjoy your day

Do you take pets?
Much as we would like to, we cannot have pets in the house as some of our guests can be allergic. There are, however, a number of kennels nearby-just
ask  and we will give you their details.

What about disabled guests?
All our rooms are on the 1st & 2nd floors. We are unable to offer any ground floor accommodation

When can we check in?
We ask that  whenever possible check in is between 4 & 6pm. As there is only the two of us to run everything and so we can ensure all the rooms are ready, the shopping is done and all else is in order, we can only really be available during these times. We understand that delays happen so please call us if this happens.

What about check out?
This is by 10am on the day of departure.

Can I have a double room for just 1 person?
Of course if you would like the expansivness of a double room just for you  we can arrange to let you have this at the room rate less £10.00. This facility cannot be booked online and can only be confirmed over the phone.

Can I book by credit or debit card?
We accept all major credit and debit cards but we have to levy a 2% processing charge on all final balances which are payable upon departure.

All reservations are only accepted by Oldfield House once we have sent a formal acknowledgement and we are in possession of a non-refundable deposit (which can be transacted via a credit card). We reserve the right to refuse online bookings if a room or rooms have been previously manually allocated by Oldfield House.

Cancellation/curtailment policy:

If you cancel any part of your stay within 7 days of arrival, curtail your stay after checking in or fail to show for your first nights stay we reserve the right to charge up to the full value of your visit, therefore we suggest you have sufficient insurance in place for this eventuality

If we have to cancel your reservation, we will give a full refund or rearrange your stay for another date or endeavour to find alternative suitable accommodation. Our liability will be limited to the cost of the accommodation booked at Oldfield House and does not include any other costs incurred by you.
